Cancer Insurance
Cancer plans will pay a fixed benefit based on the amount of coverage purchased in the event of a diagnosis of cancer. Around 60-65% of the total cost of cancer is non-medical so major medical insurance will not cover it.
Who needs this and why?
Nearly 50% of males and 35% of females will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. The treatments to make survival rates rise are out there, but are very costly. With the chance of getting cancer so high, it is worth the small premium to receive a helpful benefit when a diagnosis comes.
What does it cost?
The amounts of monthly premiums are based on age and how much coverage you may desire. How will they pay for it? Without an affordable cancer benefit policy, one would have to pay for all the expenses with the small amount that medical insurance covers, Medicare, Medicaid, or rely on their own assets and or families.
